Please send us any idea you have for talks, topics or places where you would like the event to be held.
Good afternoon,
I work as Marketing Manager for Simpleweb, a web development company down by the waterfront. Someone has mentioned your dinners to me today and I would be really interested in coming along. Whilst I do work in Marketing, because it is web development most events I go to are all males and it would be lovely to come and meet some other females who work in technology in Bristol. I would be happy to get involved in organising/talking/volunteering.
Best, Sarah
When’s the next event please, this looks great! I’m happy to help with publicity for the next event.

Hi
Connecting Bristol’s Stephen Hilton suggested I get in touch with you.
I am on the Board of Wikimedia UK (I organised the recent 10th Birthday event in town where Jimmy Wales spoke up at the University of Bristol). In order to get projects & opportunities moving across the city we are organising a small WikiAcademy for all interested parties across the city on Saturday March 19th at the University of Bristol.
This is an opportunity for would-be partners, cultural content holders, schools, organisations etc – to learn more about what we do. Learn about the best way to engage with Wikipedia & its sister projects. And to see examples of success stories where there has been good engagement & positive benefits for both content donors & the Wiki community.
Above is the work in progress Wiki – shaping this event. What we’d like is for a leading member of the KWMC to come and attend on the day, learn more & then perhaps we can all meet and discuss ways in which we could work together?
As Jimmy Wales said when he spoke in the city we need to widen the involvement beyond our standard 87% male profile (which we have at present). We’d be very interested to hear how we could do this if anyone across the ‘team’ has any ideas?
Don’t want to restrict the involvement to this though, far far from it. It might just be a point at which we can start.

Hi.
I really enjoyed the lovely Summer evening event this Monday just gone. I met some very interesting and nice people.
I mentioned to a few about the informal meetings for people who like to talk techie that I am starting up on Thursday July 8 6.15pm at The Watershed, and they seemed to be interested.
The meetings are aimed at both designers and programmers and the idea is that they bring questions and queries to which they would like answers.
I have posted it on Eventbrite
http://webchat.eventbrite.com
If you felt able to mention it to your own mailing group that would be great.
I look forward to your next meetings.
Best wishes
